Back from Battambang

Hi everyone!

Lindsey and I are back at RDI from Battambang. That was a great trip. We had turned in the bus tickets and got to ride back to Phnom Penh in the taxi with Doris and Holly. Doris is speaking about moringa on a radio show with Far East Broadcasting Company tomorrow morning. So we got to talk all the way back to PP. I really appreciate the time that Dave and Doris spent with us while we were in Battambang. Holly was particularly sweet to spend time with us as she really wasn't feeling the best.

Yesterday we went out with Sharon on the HIV/Aids patient home visits. Some of that was pretty tough. We went to check on an Aids orphan and in the family there was another child that was severely malnourished. Sharon and the team had to intervene to take the little guy to a pediatrician. He was 3 years old and weighed 11 pounds, can't walk, doesn't talk. It was so sad. The next case we saw was a family at the local military camp. The patient there was actually doing pretty well. She isn't on ARV drugs just uses the moringa powder and she is staying in good condition. the third stop was to visit a relatively affluent woman with HIV and check on her progress. She was doing very well and is also on moringa without the ARV drugs.

I am including some pics from the last few days, the bamboo trolley, processing moringa leaves with Sombok and Pala, Lindsey being safe on the motodop we rode yesterday and a gentleman who has the drink stand at the end of the trolley line.

Be good to each other as you are all special,

Wendy
